Tools reference

These are the tools at https://mcp.cardboard.ai/claude, the address Claude uses, listed here from the server’s own code. Each one tells the assistant whether it only reads or changes a project. ChatGPT’s address has these and a few more.

Claude can call 32 tools: 21 only read, and 11 change a project. Apply a timeline edit, Undo a timeline edit, Cancel a Cardboard job, Upload footage can also replace or remove something already in a project, so they're marked “Changes, can replace”.

One more, card_state, is called only by Cardboard’s player in the chat, never by Claude. Fetches the latest preview and export for the player in the chat.

Download media from a link and Capture a web page reach past Cardboard, to the link or page you give them. Every other tool works only on your Cardboard projects.

Projects
