Sign-in and permissions
Sign-in
Section titled “Sign-in”Claude and ChatGPT sign in to Cardboard with OAuth. When you connect, the assistant sends you to Cardboard’s sign-in at
accounts.cardboard.ai, where you sign in to your Cardboard account and allow it access. The assistant gets a token for
your account only, and never sees your Cardboard password.
Permissions
Section titled “Permissions”The assistant asks for two permissions:
| Permission | What it allows |
|---|---|
cardboard:read |
Listing your projects and media, and looking at them. |
cardboard:edit |
Changing projects, uploading, exporting, and anything that uses credits. |
Tools that change a project need both. The tools page marks which tools only read.
What the connector can reach
Section titled “What the connector can reach”The connector works only on the projects you make with it. It doesn’t open the projects in Cardboard’s web editor or Mac app.
Two tools reach past Cardboard: one brings in a video from a link you give it, and one takes a screenshot of a web page you name. Every other tool works only on your Cardboard projects.
Taking access back
Section titled “Taking access back”- Claude: open Customize, then Connectors, and disconnect or remove Cardboard.
- ChatGPT: open Plugins, open Cardboard, and disconnect or uninstall it.
